To reproduce this tunic, was made out of olive greenish "feldgrau42" 
German imported wool which is commonly used for Michael Janke production. 

The sewing thread is an original which was fabricated at Switzerland
 and imported to Germany during Ww2, the thread still has enough strength to sew.

The Lining fabric is vivid cotton twill Kahki colour. 

In the time of German Tunic fabrication at Wehrmacht contractor's Factory 1942,
 The New model tunic called M41 and M42 are under the fabrication concurrently during M40
production, it had been caused great turbulence in fabrication line.

This tunic was reproduced accurately such "Messed up production line Model".   

■Length:

According to Instruction published by DAF(Deutsche Arbeits Front) in March 1937,
the production of Tunic for Das Heer feldbluse total length should be 67cm 
at breast circumference 94cm.
However, my reference original M40 tunic is fabricated that out of such threshold,
such feature is as M41,42,43 tunic. 

as for the reason, reproduced 71cm long total length accurately reproduced as my original M40 Tunic.

■Sleeve  

Tunic Sleeve shape mostly distinguishable Army tunic appearance, 
the shape of sleeve can be seen Slightly "V" line from side view.
at the front view, both sleeves can be seen creased from elbow to centerline of the Tunic.  

■Hooks for Internal suspender system

Actuary, Hooks for internal suspender system is 
one of the ultra rare item to acquire in the current market.   

but I applied such original hooks on the Lining system.

In addition, ordinal tunic has eyelet hole which was sewn by special sewing machine,
but for a moment, i do not have such machine in my studio, thus eyelet holes were hand sewn.
1 pair of them in the front, 1 pair of them in rear.

Reinforcing cloth for eyelet hole of the tunic ,many of reproductions are  not attached between 
wool cloth and lining, but i have added on in this tunic as original  

As well as missing stitches for shoulder button, Lining stich through back side to 
side of breast pocket in various reproduction, but my reproduction were added on as original.

Collar

under my Observation original collar, it should have reinforcing material
 such as Linen, cotton cloth for early model, linen/cotton mixture cloth in it.

but many of chinese ,other reproductions are not enough reinforcing for collar.
but my reproduction had been Linen fabric insterted in to collar to prevent deforming.
Plus added latch stitching between collar and body as original.  
Buttons for sleeves and collar are original resin made.
collar hook is also original from my stock.


■Insignia

 Kragenspiegel:This is high quality reproduction 
which was made by War production embroidery machine 
at West Germany 1970 for movie production prop.
and applied on bottle green wool cloth at my sutdio.

Chevron
The chevron shows "Obergefreiter winkel" was acquired 
at Japanese Flea market. refabricated chevron mount is made out of original fabric. 
it is sewn by zigzag stitch as original.

Button
 The 19mm buttons are everything original repainted used.

Shoulder boards

 This is my reproduction model made out of Early field grey german wool,
Waffen farbe Piping shows Black which shows "Pionier".
the imagination of the soldier heading to Stalingrad.

Sizing Stamps 
 "94" shown on centerline is breast, "42"shown left of the top is backing centerline of the tunic,
"41"shown Neck size, "60"shown is sleeve length, "71"shown is total length.

Apprx,German size 46-47,size as known as S for European size.
